Welcome!  Thanks for taking a look at my work!

My first experiences with clay ignited a deep curiosity within me, and exploration of this has commanded my attention since.  The desire to make objects from clay has remained a driving force in my life.  For the last 20 years, I have worked to develop both technical skills and creative expression, striving to learn more at every juncture.

I followed this desire to grow in my ceramic practice to Florence, Italy, completing a Post Baccalaureate program in Ceramics and Art History. Since my return to Minnesota, I have enjoyed continuing my education through the rich clay community both here and around the country.  I have had opportunities to participate in various assistantships and have been inspired by many talented artists along the way.

I have explored various firing processes including: gas reduction, soda, low fire electric, wood and salt firing and mid range oxidation.  At this time I primarily fire cone 6 oxidation in an electric kiln, but jump at the chance to do a wood firing when I am able! Making functional work has been the focus of my practice in recent years and I hope others are able to derive enjoyment from using these objects in their daily lives.

I have a lot of work in progress currently and I hope to be able to share it with you soon... so please check back!
